UPDATED - TUESDAY 30TH JUNE 2020
We plan to reopen the Pier by Saturday 4th July once we have all the necessary measures in place to ensure the safety of our volunteers, staff and visitors.
We will open initially on reduced hours.; Monday - Friday - 9.00am - 5.00pm / Saturday - Sunday - 9.00am - 6.00pm.
As far as possible payments will only be by card.
There will be a one-way system in operation using the full width of the Pier, with toilets opened. The shop and the museum will remain closed until further notice.
The 1859 cafe will be open for eat in and takeaways, with inside and outside seating available, taking into consideration social distancing measures.
With the one-way system in place on the Pier and to keep the flow of people moving, plaque cleaning will not be permitted for the time beginning.
Fishing will be on a first come basis and will only take place on the Pierhead in a specially designated area.
Diving is being permitted under the Pier. Please contact boat operators for further information on chartered boats.
Please also be aware, in order to ensure a level of social distancing, there will also be reduced car parking.
Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.
