The Christmas ‘Lighting Up Lives’ event returns! For the past four years, this enchanting celebration at the iconic Swanage Pier has allowed hundreds of people to cherish the memories of loved ones and celebrate the special people in their lives.

A wonderful way to honour those who have meant and continue to mean, so much to us.

“This is a wonderful event. The magnificent display could be seen from the whole of the seafront and looked particularly magnificent from Broad Road. It is comforting to know one of the lights is dedicated to someone we love.”

Dedicate a Light

We invite you to dedicate a light to someone special or a group you appreciate. With a suggested donation of £12.00, you can honour, celebrate, show thanks, remember loved ones or wish someone a joyous Christmas.

Dedicate your light today and let it shine brightly along the Pier as part of a beautiful installation on Swanage Pier from Friday 6th December until Monday 6^th January. Your tribute will be featured on the online ‘Lighting Up Lives’ page and you will receive an electronic copy of your certificate.

All donations made go towards the ongoing maintenance and restoration of the Pier.

Lighting up Lives – ‘The Switch On’

Come and join us on Friday, 6th December, starting at 5:30pm, for the first night of the Pier illuminations! Enjoy live music from local bands Kelp! and the Allsort’d Choir. Be entertained by festive characters and watch the lights being switched on by our special guest at 6:00pm. Make your evening complete with a festive treat or a delicious barbecue offering from the 1859 Café and Bistro and find the perfect gift in our shop.

Family Ticket - £5.00 (2 adults & 2 children)
