Be A Part Of Swanage Piers Future
Swanage Pier looks as glorious today as it would have over 100 years ago and is an essential part of our town’s unique Victorian flavour.
Situated at the beginning of Dorset’s World Heritage Jurassic Coast, it has given pleasure to generations of holiday makers and locals and continues to provide moorings for some of the world’s historic sailing ships and other vessels. Swanage Pier is also a valuable marine habitat and an important centre for sub-aqua diving, angling and water sports and provides a regular summer Boat service to Bournemouth, Poole and the Isle of Wight. The Pier attracts over 105,000 visitors each year.
The Swanage Pier Trust took control of the Pier Company at the end of 1994 with the aim of restoring and maintaining it for the benefit of residents and visitors alike.
After the initial essential repairs and restoration work at a cost of over £1,000,000, we still need to raise £200,000 each year for running and maintenance costs, which makes your support vital to the future of Swanage Pier.
